Very portable which is why I got it. This 14" Alienware ALW14-1250SLV laptop delivers immersive gaming visuals. It crashes sometimes but I think its because im putting out to much power on skyrim with the HD mods. Other than that its kinda fat, but it works like champ. Another thing is that the screen isnt too big, but I got use to it. Its a good laptop but crashes sometimes.

People stare at it when I'm in line a the cafeteria. I take it to school and use it in my programming classes. I can never go to the restroom or just leave the room without the computer. Guaranteed it will be gone when I get back. Even with the small flaws, I love this Alienware 14 ALW14-1250sLV machine. Even the most graphics demanding games play easily and flawlessly. And I have only 2GBs on my graphics card.

You can beef up Alienware to 3 grand plus like the good old days with ultra premium speakers, more flash, more RAM, etc. but that depends on your goals. If you're just looking for a lightning fast, high horsepower gaming machine that's also ideal for business and general computing, this is a great compromise. The build quality is a pleasure.

At this point I have no complaints. It's a biiiggg issue for a laptop that costs 1000 $. Most laptops worth a 1000$ nowadays have the charging port sideways without sticking out like a javelin. I like its i5 4200 dual core, Nvidia card, 750 gb hard drive, 8 gb of ram and its sturdy lid. etc. make this laptop look very geeky.

I bought it because im running many programs simultaneously such as netbeans, jgrasp, movie dvd maker, downloading files...which takes a lot of ram and CPU power..SO far so good, but there are other laptops withing this price range with the power cord properly designed on a side, and packing the same quality of hardware, therefore im thinking returning it and buying something less likely to brake easily.

So many bells and whistles, speed, customization, and the video and sound are top notch. I invested in this Alienware 14 ALW14-1250sLV 14-Inch Gaming Laptop knowing I would not need to buy a new one for many years to come. I will purchase another Alienware when that time comes. LOVE IT!!!
